Our business first began in our home kitchen in 2012, baking simple cupcakes to sell at fairs under the name The Creative Cupcake Company. Within the first year, we were attending events such as party in the park and NNestival. By 2015 demand had got the better of us, and we opened our first takeaway cupcake shop in Northampton town centre.

We have had the honour to be awarded 2 Bronze awards and a merit from CAKE INTERNATIONAL for our sculpted animal cakes, Northampton's Most Outstanding in Creative Cake Design, 2019 in the Ones to Watch in the Wedding Industry programme, a recommendation on Restaurant Guru 2024 and a finalist in the Best New Business category at the SME Northamptonshire awards.

In 2019 our shop was severely flooded, so we made the decision to move our business to our home town of Wellingborough, where we have been made to feel extremely welcome by both customers and other local shop owners.

We now create hundreds of bespoke celebration and wedding cakes and thousands of cupcakes each year, all freshly baked to order in our Wellingborough shop.

On Fridays and Saturdays we open on our doors for walk in trade where you can purchase delicious treats to enjoy over the weekend. The rest of the week we operate on a pre ordered collection basis only.
